With over 20 years experience as an elementary school teacher, children's pastor, parent educator at The Children’s Home of Cincinnati and respite coordinator at Butler County Educational Service Center, Jen has a passion to see families come alive. She believes strongly in the powerful role parents have in loving and leading their families well.

As a licensed Social Worker with her Masters in Social Work, former intern with City Gospel Mission and nearly 10 years tenure caring for orphaned and vulnerable children in Mexico and India with Back2Back Ministries, Courtney has a heart for seeing children overcome hardship to become all they were intended to be. Courtney brings a wealth of knowledge, passion and gifting around trauma-informed care to Tried & True.™

Julie Hellyer has over 10 years of former experience as the early childhood pastor at Northstar Community Church working with children and caregivers from a variety of different backgrounds and family dynamics. Julie is passionate about equipping parents, promoting effective communication and facilitating deep connection to create safe and secure homes where families grow and thrive.

Nationally Authorized Common Sense Parenting® Trainer and Safe Families for Children® Host
Lora has over 15 years of rich history and experience in the social service field walking alongside families in various settings including Necco Therapeutic foster care, Over-the-Rhine Head Start, Catholic Charities homeless shelter, Pregnancy Care of Cincinnati, and Vineyard MercyWorks. Lora brings a strong desire and ambition to equip parents to be the best version of themselves as they engage with their children.
The Board of Directors are a group of Tried & True advocates and mentors whose diverse professional experience coupled with their spiritual wisdom, discernment and leadership are a tremendous asset to the staff and families we serve.

Lisa Marker Robbins
Lisa Marker Robbins is the founding CEO of LEAP. In 1991 after graduating from Taylor University, she embarked on a lifelong journey of working alongside teens and their families to embrace their best-fit future.
After 35 years in corporate Human Resources, Shawn now enjoys traveling with her husband and friends and spending time with their children and grandchildren. She has been serving on the Back2Back Ministries board for 10+ years. Shawn has a desire to share her experiences to aid in growing healthy children and families.
